Why I want to be a vet..

When I was a child, I want to be a vet! I love to the animals and always i wanted to study this career, although last year I went to Bachillerato, because I had some doubts.
Personally, i want to be a vet, because I think that it's necessary a change in the mentality of the human. In my opinion, I believe that the animal life has the same valued that a human life and people have to stop considering animals as inferior.

In the university I have learned a lot of different topics, career-related topics and other branches. Especially in Bachillerato, I learned about different areas and this served me for to take a more interdisciplinary of the things. I would like to dedicate the wildlife and give it the importance it need this area.

I want to be a vet, and I'm proud of study Veterinary Medicine, I hope to meet my goals and contribute in the change of mentality in society.

My favourite piece of technology (?)

In my opinion technology is useful and a piece of technology can be more useful that other piece of technology, but in the end, all aim to make life easier.
In my case, i think that my personal computer it's so useful (and it's my favourite), because I can transport anywhere, and in my free time I can do many things, like read e-mails, talk to my friends in social networks, listen to music, sell and buy things, search for information, etc. I use my personal computer to do work for university too. 

because of its many uses, I ocuppy my PC everyday, to do any of the activities aboved named. I like mi computer, because facilitates many things that I have to do daily. Well, without my personal computer I would a different life, but not a bad life.

Why do you like this animal?
I really like their predominately blue plumage, and generally like so much birds. Furthermore I admire your highly adaptable, because Bluebird migrate to south if, higher latitudes and the food is scarce in temperatures too cold.

Why is this animal important in the animal kingdom?
Because keep the balance with other agencies, eating insect like spiders and others. In my opinion all animals are important in the animal kingdom, because somehow keep the nature balance.

Is this animal an endangered species?
No. It's a specie that hardly has human contact, and this help to conservation.

What is your opinion about same-sex marriage?

First of all, I think that each person is free of decide by itself in any aspect, but  without affecting directly to other person, therefore the sexual tendence is a decision of each individual.

In my opinion, religion, especially Catholicism is one of the main culprits of the "demonization" of relations between people of the same sex, and although I don't believe in marriage or in the church at large, I agree with the freedom of individuals. 

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?

Marijuana is a plant, this creates a big problem for the system in which we are immersed, because any individual can obtain their fruits through the cultivation of the land, which does not generate any profit for capitalism.
The fact that marijuana is illegal, is just one of the many strategies used by the economic model to keep controlled, prohibiting and manipulating to their favor situations like this. I agree with the legalization of marijuana, marijuana is not a drug, it's nature.

  
What is your opinion about the Chilean politicians?
Today, in Chile, exist a politics of terror, mostly based on a fascist constitution. This is a problem for me, because I believe in a libertarian political, farm from elitism and privilege for few people. Policy in Chile it's a circus, and the politicians are clowns.




 What is your opinion about recycling?
In my opinion, recycling it's a practice that should be a habit in the population. Generally, people see this like a act exclusive of enviromentalist or "hippies", and don't have the motivation for copy the recycling in their home, in their neighborhood or village. Exist a cultural problem with the management of trash, especially in Chile.






What is your opinion about killing stray dogs?
 I'm completely disagree with this practice. Kill to the stray dogs is not a solution for the overpopulation. Personally, i think that this problem is fault of the human who has failed to learn how to responsibly care for a pet.

My favourite music band: Radiohead

 My favourite music band is Radiohead, they are an English alternative rock band from Abigdon, Oxforshire. They are in activity since 1985, but released their debut single in 1992, this single is "Creep" and is one of most noted song of this band. In 1993 (when i was born!), Radiohead relase their debut album, "Pablo Honey", this album was a worldwide and a influenced to different bands later. 

Radiohead is formed for five members. Thom Yorke is the lead singer and play guitar and piano, Johnny Greenwood is the lead guitarist, Colin Greenwood play bass, Phil Selway is the drumer and Ed O'brien is the second guitarist.

This band have eigth album, Pablo Honey (1993), The Bends (1995), OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), Hail to the Thief (2003), In Rainbows (2007) and The King of Limbs (2011)

My favourite album is "OK, Computer" released in 1997, and my favourite song is "Paranoid android". I liked this song, because is a critical to a system alienated and globalized, that makes people look like androids.
I like them, because, generally, their music is a critical to the system, but also some albums contain songs about love and friends, additionally the music is so varied and funny.

Me and my brother in a Park of San Bernado, in 1994

Hi! I'm Paz Gatica, but my friends and family called me "Pachi". I was born in Santiago, Chile in October 14, 1993. I'am 19 years old and I'm vegetarian. When i was born, Me and my family lived in San Bernardo, south of Santiago.

In 1999 I started elementary school at Colegio Madre Cecilia Lazzeri. I continued my studies in the same school and finished my high school education in 2011. The last year I study in Bachillerato Program, Natural sciences mention at Universidad de Chile, but for personal problems i had to retired of the program.  

This year i'm studing Veterinary Medicine at Universidad de Chile and I'm so happy! I love this career and always wanted to study some with related to the animals. 

I live with my mom Virginia and my brother Pablo, in Ñuñoa. My dad Juan live close of my home and visit me so continued.

I enjoy ride my bike and play computer games, my favourite game is "Amnesia" and I'm so anxious, because in September 10, launch a new version of this game.
